An innovative, partnership approach to student mental health
MCC Summary
MINDful College Connections (MCC), a shared-resource consortium for student mental health, involves collaborative partnerships among institutions of higher education. MCC’s primary goal is to improve the capacity of member institutions to meet the growing need for mental health care services for their students through the greater efficiency of shared resources.

Impressive Return on Investment:
- MCC member institutions can expect overall cost savings of approximately 40% on a package of mental health services and resources.
- MCC has negotiated discounted consortium pricing with vendors such as Nearpeer, Togetherall, and Mantra Health, which are described further on our Membership Benefits page.
- Additional full-time, on-campus, staff are available to serve each campus, one Mental Health and Wellness Educator and one Clinical Counselor.
- By comprehensively supporting the mental health and wellness needs of our students with effective services at all tiers of our stepped care treatment model, subsequent increases in student retention and graduation rates can be expected.
Finally, a meaningful hallmark of the MCC consortium is our emphasis on collaboration across member institutions to help inform our continued development of best practices. This is actively accomplished through:
- Formal institutional assessments
- Monthly collaboration meetings
- Quarterly professional development trainings
